BTC LP & UP Teacher Recruitment
Teaching has always been a noble profession — and for BTR residents, the 2025 LP/UP recruitment opens new doors. For the first time in years, BTR is conducting a dedicated recruitment drive for Lower and Upper Primary teachers under the BTC TET framework.
BTR TET Recruitment Details
Lower Primary (LP) Teacher
- Classes Covered: Class I to V
- Eligibility:
- Passed Higher Secondary (HS) or equivalent with at least 50% marks
- D.El.Ed (2 years) from recognized institution
- Must have passed Assam TET / BTC TET / CTET (Paper-I)
- Age Limit: 18–40 years as on 1st Jan 2025
- Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹60,500 (PB-II) + Grade Pay ₹6,200/-
Upper Primary (UP) Teacher
- Classes Covered: Class VI to VIII
- Eligibility:
- Graduate with at least 50% marks + D.El.Ed/B.Ed
- Must have qualified Assam TET / BTC TET / CTET (Paper-II)
- Must have studied the relevant subject in graduation level
- Age Limit: 18–40 years as on 1st Jan 2025
- Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹60,500 (PB-II) + Grade Pay ₹7,300/-
Age Relaxation: OBC – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years, PwD – 10 years.
Eligibility Criteria of BTR TET Recruitment
To ensure fairness and merit-based selection, candidates must fulfill these additional requirements:
- Must be a permanent resident of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR)
- Medium of instruction must match the medium passed in HSLC
- Maximum of two living children as per Government of Assam norms
- NIOS D.El.Ed (18 months) is not valid for new appointments as per Supreme Court directive (as of Jan 2025)
