Assam Special TET Exam 2025

Candidates were eagerly waiting for the BTR / BTC TET, now finally the wait is over. SSA Assam has released notification for the special tet exam for the 6th scheduled area of Assam. Candidates belonging to the 6th schedule area will be able to apply for this special TET of 2025. Candidates from Baksa, Chirang, Dima-Hasao, Kokrajhar, Karbi-Anglong, West Karbi-Anglong and Udalguri districts are considered eligible for this TET. Qualifying Mark

Candidates need to secure 60% marks, i.e 90 marks out of 150 marks to qualify for Assam Special TET. also 5% relaxation applies for SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates.

Relaxation

The following relaxation will be applicable

Relaxation up to 5% in the academic marks in HSSLC or Graduation shall be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD(PH) to appear in TET both for Paper-I (LP Level) and Paper-II (UP Level).
For Paper-I (LP Level) relaxation up to 5% in HSSLC marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 2-Year D.El.Ed before 31/08/2009 and qualified 2-Year D.El.Ed subsequently.
For Paper-II (UP Level) relaxation up to 5% in Graduation marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 1-Year B.Ed. before 31/08/2009 and qualified 1-Year B.Ed. subsequently

Educational Qualification

Candidates need to fulfil any one criteria to appear in the Special 6th Schedule TET of the below.

Paper I: Lower Primary (LP) (Classes I to V)

Criteria 1

Class 12th with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Class 12th with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
Class 12th with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any NCTE-recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary
teacher.

Criteria 2: However, a candidate who is pursuing and has Admit Card of final year examination of any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February 2011, may also apply for TET. However, he/she can apply for an appointment only after acquiring all the required qualifications.

Paper II: Upper Primary (UP)

Criteria 1

Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post Graduation and B. Ed
Class 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).
Class 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./ B. Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed. (Special Education)
Minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or an equivalent course prior to the 29th July, 2011.

Criteria 2
