What is the VFA Training Course?

The Veterinary Field Assistant (VFA) Training is a one-year course conducted at the School of Veterinary Science & A.H. in Ghungoor, Silchar, and its extended campuses. The course equips candidates with elementary knowledge in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, preparing them for field-level responsibilities in rural and urban Assam.

Eligibility Criteria for Assam VFA Admission 2025

Educational Qualification:

  • HSSLC (Science) pass with Biology as a subject from a recognized board or council.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 30 years as on 01/01/2025

Age Relaxation:

  • OBC/MOBC: 3 years
  • SC/ST (P/H): 5 years

Only the date of birth recorded in HSLC or equivalent certificate is accepted.

  1. HSLC Admit Card or Certificate (for age proof)
  2. HSSLC (Science) Marksheet

Selection Process: What to Expect

Selection is merit-based and includes a 100-mark Personality Assessment Test (PAT).
