Assam PhD Scholarship 2025
The Government of Assam has launched the Chief Minister’s Jibon Anuprerana Scheme. This initiative will provide a one-time scholarship to eligible full-time research scholars from all the public institutions in Assam. aiming to support their scholastic journey and foster academic excellence within the state.
Under this scholarship program all the eligible scholars pursuing their PhD can receive a financial grant. The application process is conducted online and interested candidates can submit their forms starting from 7th June 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship
- Residency: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Academic Status: Must be a full-time Research Scholar (including Divyang scholars) in a public/government institution in Assam.
- Admission Year: Must be admitted to a PhD program in the year 2025.
- Employment: The applicant must not be employed.
- Exclusion Criteria: Applicants should not be beneficiaries of schemes like Mukhya Mantri Nijut Moina. Their parents should not be employed in public office (MLA/MP), registered contractors, or high-income professionals (income > ₹10 lakh/year).
- Other Scholarships: Applicants receiving high-value scholarships like UGC JRF, CSIR, etc., are not eligible.
